The Empress of Mars
In Empress of Mars, the Twelfth Doctor, Nardole and Bill travel to Mars, after NASA discover a message reading ‘God Save The Queen’ under the ice on the surface of the red planet.
Upon their landing, they encounter Victorian soldiers, who have arrived to try to conquer the native home of the Ice Warriors.
As the long-dormant Martian hive begins to awaken, the Doctor must decide which side he is on – that of Queen Victoria’s invading soldiers, or the Ice Warriors, led by Empress Iraxxa, and her loyal subject, Friday.
The box includes two metal miniatures: The Empress Iraxxa and Friday, and six Exterminate! game cards.
The Ice Warriors, natives of the planet Mars, are large, imposing bipedal reptilians, housed inside biomechanical armour and armed with sonic weaponry. In the year 3000, on an Earth in the midst of a second Ice Age, a Martian spaceship is discovered frozen in the ice, housing several Ice Warriors who laid dormant for thousands of years.
Later in the 30th Century, the Ice Warriors invaded Earth, trying to change the planet’s atmosphere to make it suitable for their habitation, but their plan was thwarted by the Doctor. During the 40th Century, their race eventually became peaceful, choosing to join a Galactic Federation of Earth, Mars and other planets.
This boxed set contains five highly detailed pewter Ice Warrior figures, based on their appearance in the 2017 episode Empress of Mars.
I am the Master
A would-be conqueror of the universe, the Master is the Doctor’s oldest and deadliest foe. A rival Time Lord with the same ability to change his physical appearance by regeneration and occasionally body-snatching, this cunning villain holds the ability to manipulate, charm and destroy whole races in equal measure, often doing so for the simple gain of making the Doctor suffer.
Once boyhood friends on Gallifrey, the Doctor and the Master became polar opposites, one celebrating life in the Universe, the other taking great pleasure trying to destroy it. A highly skilled hypnotist, the Master was able to dominate and control his victims into doing his bidding.
His weapons of choice were the Tissue Compression Eliminator and Laser Screwdriver.
The latest incarnation of the Master transformed into a female form, Missy, who’s traits still held firm – death and destruction always foremost on her mind.
Having been separated from their fleet, a lone Dominator spaceship arrives on the peaceful planet Dulkis.
Navigator Rago and his second-in-command, Probationer Toba, are accompanied by their robotic servants, the Quarks, who round up slave workers from the planet’s pacifist inhabitants.
Needing to refuel their vessel, the Dominators begin drilling into the surface of the planet, where they plan to fire their rockets into the molten core of Dulkis, then drop an atomic-powered seed pod which would turn the whole planet radioactive.
When the Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe arrive, they are unable to persuade the Dulcian leaders, who believe violence is never an option, to retaliate.
Assisted by the rebellious native, Cully, the Doctor steals the seed pod from the drilling site, smuggling it on-board the departing Dominator ship. As it takes off, the pod explodes, destroying the alien invaders with their own weapon.
Ninth Doctor & Companions
Battle-scarred, but with a great love of life and adventure, the Ninth Doctor invited Rose Tyler aboard the TARDIS for a trip of a lifetime.
Later joined by Captain Jack Harkness, occasionally assisted by Mickey Smith and Rose’s mother, Jackie, their adventures took them from Victorian Cardiff to the end of the world, fighting enemies old and new, including Daleks, Autons and the Slitheen.
This Doctor was fantastic!
This box contains the following unpainted pewter miniatures: the Ninth Doctor, Rose Tyler, Captain Jack Harkness, Mickey Smith and Jackie Tyler. It also contains gaming cards for each character, allowing you to take them into battle in Warlord’s Exterminate! miniatures game.
The Time Warrior
Scientists go missing on 20th Century Earth and the Third Doctor deduces they are being kidnapped through time. Arriving in the middle ages with journalist Sarah Jane Smith he discovers a lone Sontaran warrior, commander Linx, who has crash-landed and is stranded.
Irongron, a robber baron and leader of a local bandit gang, is offered ‘magic weapons’ in exchange for shelter, so the ship can be repaired. The two strike an uneasy bargain.
Hailing from the planet Sontar, the Sontarans are a clone race of soldiers, literally bred for war, whose greatest pleasure is to see the destruction of other races.
These military-minded villains are all near-identical in appearance. Small in stature, with large heads and stocky bodies, they are dressed head to toe in body armour, making them a formidable foe.
Sontarans absorb pure energy through their probic vents on the back of their necks, but this can also be their achilles heel. A Sontaran can be stunned or killed when their probic vent is penetrated by a sharp object.
Several incarnations of the Doctor have encountered and defeated these galactic troopers, who never stand down and live only for the honour of victory, or at the very least, an honourable death in battle.
Sontaran General Staal
General Staal, also known as ‘Staal the Undefeated’, was commander of the Tenth Sontaran Battle fleet. Staal, his subordinate Skorr and their army of troopers invaded earth in 2009, planning to turn the planet into a cloning hub.
Staal’s personality was that of a typical Sontaran: a love of warfare, no respect for other races and a refusal to back down to his enemies at any cost. This stubborn refusal to surrender would eventually lead to his downfall.
