26 April 2010 | Classic | Silver Nemesis Cybermen Twin Pack Announced!
Underground Toys and Forbidden Planet Exclusive
Underground Toys and Forbidden Planet are pleased to announce the latest Classic Series action figures in their line of exclusive Doctor Who action figures.
Based on the 1988 episode ‘Silver Nemesis’, this exclusive figure set contains a Cyber Leader and Cyberman each with a Cybergun. Due to be released in all Forbidden Planet UK stores and selected US retailers from July 2010, this latest release is priced at £24.99 and is now available to pre-order.
Find out more about the Silver Nemesis:
The Seventh Doctor and Ace visit Windsor, England in 1988, where three factions - the Cybermen, a group of Neo-Nazis and a 17th Century time travelling sorceress named Lady Peinforte - are each attempting to capture a weapon made of a living metal, Validium, created as the ultimate defence for Gallifrey. The weapon is now in the form of a statue of Lady Peinforte and has three components that must be brought together in order to be activated.
In order to foil an earlier attempt to control it, the Doctor launched the weapon inside an asteroid, into a 25 year orbit over 300 years ago. The asteroid now crashes back to Earth near Windsor Castle. The Doctor plays the three rival groups off against one other until eventually he appears to surrender the statue to the Cybermen. However, this is just another carefully-laid trap by the Doctor and the Cybermen warships are totally wiped out when they attempt to control the weapon.

New Series... New Who... New Figures!
Thanks to Character Options, Doctor Who fans are able to recreate scenes from the ‘Eleventh Hour’ with the Eleventh Doctor’s Crash twin pack that features two incredibly detailed and authentic Eleventh Doctor five inch action figures.
When the Eleventh Doctor’s TARDIS crashes into the garden of young Amelia Pond, he is still wearing the remains of the Tenth Doctor’s suit, ripped and raggedy from the damage after the TARDIS control room exploded. After he departs, Amelia grows up, telling her friends about ‘The Raggedy Doctor’, making dolls and puppets of him. When he returns to her life after twelve years, he’s still wearing the same battered clothes but, shortly before facing down the Atraxi, he selects for himself a new outfit, ‘borrowed’ from various lockers at the local hospital. Tweed jacket, bow tie and boots in place, the Eleventh Doctor is now ready to face the future…
The Doctor’s ‘Crash’ Set is priced at RRP £14.99 and is available from all good toy stores. For ages 5 years and over,

“Ooh... a new one, Lovely” - The Eleventh Doctor - The Eleventh Hour
Now you can recreate scenes from the latest series of Doctor Who featuring Matt Smith with the brand new Sonic Screwdriver released by Character Options.
The Doctor’s multipurpose tool is a Gallifreyan device, with numerous settings, easily controlled at the press of his thumb. The Doctor has had many sonic screwdrivers of different designs throughout his life, and this latest one was created from within the TARDIS console itself after the previous one was destroyed during a confrontation with Prisoner Zero in the village of Leadworth.
This new sonic is larger, with a luminous green light but continues to be an essential part of the Doctor’s equipment as he explores the universe. This faithful copy of the Doctor’s trusty Sonic Device has spring loaded extending action. Pressing the button on the side of the handle activates the LED and Sound FX which operates in CLOSED mode. Flip open the cap at the end of the Screwdriver to reveal an additional button that activates the light and sound effects when it is in full extension OPEN mode.
Priced at RRP £14.99, the Sonic Screwdriver is suitable for ages 5 years and over. Requires 3 x L1154 batteries.
