Who’s At San Diego
In June 2008, Underground Toys - the US distributors of the Doctor Who toy range, announced that two brand new exclusive figures had been specially commissioned for San Diego Comic Convention 2008.
 Limited to just 3000 per piece, the figures included an exclusive 'Time Crash' set featuring the Tenth and Fifth Doctors and an exclusive Ninth Doctor variant.
The Ninth Doctor features the green shirt worn by the Doctor in the Fathers Day episode of Series 1, while the Tenth Doctor wears the darker shirt and tie, and the Fifth Doctor comes with the later style, Edwardian cricketers outfit together with the iconic celery stick, as worn in the one off, specially written episode, Time Crash.
The figures were made available to those who visited the Underground Toys or BBC Worldwide booths between 23-27th July 2008, however a one off limited amount of figures were made available to selected US retailers.
The exclusives, presented in the brand new style "clamshell" packaging are individually numbered with a special hologram sticker and just like some of the other US releases, these exclusives also featured the US Top Trumps promotional card and sticker.
The RRP for the 'Time Crash' set at the time of release was $35 while the Ninth Doctor retailed at $20.

With the launch wave of Doctor Who 5 inch figures proving popular with US Doctor Who fans back in March 2007, Underground Toys took the decision to showcase the Doctor Who range for the first time ever at the San Diego Comic Convention in July 2007.
