Series 2 Waves
January 2007 - October 2007
After three highly successful waves of Doctor Who action figures combining a mixture of Series 1 and Series 2 figures (Series X), Character Options took the decision to realign future waves into series branded packs.
Instead one generic card for all figures, Series 1 character from January 2007 were released on Series 1 cardbacks branded ‘Red’ and Series 2 characters were released on Series 2 cardbacks branded ‘Blue’. This newly tweaked packaging would give the range an uniformed lineup making each series instantly recognisable and would allow any future series to be added with little re-branding, while keeping a uniformed and recognisable look.
