A Look Back In Time & To The Future

One spring morning back in April 2007... well the 27th April 2007 at 2.58pm to be precise :oP, Doctor Who Action Figures Online published it's first ever checklist for the full Character Options Doctor Who 5" action figures range.
The checklist was designed and created due to the high demand from users on the popular Doctor Who web community, Outpost Gallifrey's Toys and Merchandise forum (now The Doctor Who Forum / Gallifrey Base) who were seeking a full list of released figures.
No detailed checklists cataloguing Character Options Doctor Who 5" action figure range existed at the time, so our guide - while basic, provided a welcome source of information. With our checklists proving popular, the following months saw us continue to update and improve our databases.
In October 2007, always looking for ways to improve, we took the decision to launch a fully dedicated site to the Character Options Doctor Who action figure range. It was with the great help and support from Character Options in the months leading up to our launch that the Doctor Who Action Figures Online site was approved and permission was granted from Character and BBC Worldwide to use images of the Character Options Doctor Who range. The use of images within our checklists and on our site in general would allow us to establish the site as one of the best reference resources on the net.
To coincide with the launch of our website, we took the decision to only report on 100% officially confirmed figures.
This decision would allow us to become the reliable source of information, containing only accurate information - completely free from rumours and speculation, for which we are known for today!

With our desire to provide visitors with one of the best resources on the net, Doctor Who Action Figures Online completely re-launched with a brand new look in February 2008. Featuring a range of brand new pages, including a Frequently Asked Questions page, news page, e-newsletter and most important our improved series by series, wave by wave checklists, our re-launch was met with a positive response.
In March 2008, we continued to add even more to the site. During this month we launched the Doctor Who Figure Of The Month scheme where we allow our visitors to rate our chosen Character Option Doctor Who action figure of that month. July saw us publish our first feature article focusing on Toys R US while in August 2008 we launched the first ever Doctor Who printable action figure checklist - ‘The Ultimate Checklist’. September 2008 saw Doctor Who Action Figures Online move in a completely new direction by helping the fellow collector even more by launching our Tutorials database. Using a mixture of tutorials written by fellow collector, Paul W and Doctor Who Action Figures Online, our guides help collectors, get the most from their action figures.
What proved to be a busy year, we said a big thank you to all our visitors and launched our biggest ever competition, ‘The Great Christmas Giveaway’ which saw a mixture of Doctor Who merchandise given away to our visitors during the festive season.
